The Daktylios traffic restriction zone is seasonal and operates on weekdays. For the current season it runs from 20 October 2025 to 24 July 2026. Vehicles with odd and even registration plate numbers take turns entering the zone on different days, with exemptions via special permit/sign for eligible vehicles.
City centre on-street parking is controlled: visitor spaces are marked in white (residents-only spaces are blue). Payment is via scratch cards or the MyAthensPass mobile app. Maximum parking time for visitors is three hours.
To avoid central Athens traffic, park outside the busiest areas and continue by metro, tram or bus.
