Área de autocaravanas is the Spanish term for a basic motorhome parking area. These areas typically have water, waste disposal facilities and charge about €10 to €20 per night.
Much of the land in Spain is privately owned. Permission must be granted if you wish to spend the night there.
Spain has designated areas for campervans where you can spend a night at no cost.
In addition, there are plenty of campsites, starting at around €9 per night.
All drivers must have a current and full driver’s licence to hire a vehicle. For foreign licences, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is also required.
