The cost of campgrounds has risen in recent years due to the popularity of RV vacations in the US.

Does my motorhome come with unlimited mileage?

The majority of campervan rental suppliers in the US do not offer unlimited miles as a standard rental inclusion.

In most cases, miles are capped at a daily rate and additional fees will be incurred if you exceed the limit. Additional miles can usually also be prepurchased in packages ranging from 100 miles up to unlimited, however, any remaining miles will not be refunded when the vehicle is returned.

Is motorhome rental available at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport?

While there are no rentals available directly at the terminal at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, most rental companies are just a short distance away.

Many campervan rental companies offer a complimentary shuttle along with your rental.

Where can I camp in Seattle? Is free camping allowed?

As in the rest of the United States, free camping is only allowed in designated areas, which can include national parks, truck stops, or rest stops as well as certain parking lots with permission from the store manager.

Seattle is home to many campgrounds, most of which are a short distance from downtown Seattle. A night at an RV park will usually cost between $12 and $50 (USD).

Some popular choices include Lake Pleasant RV Park, KOA Campground, and Fay Bainbridge Park.

Can I travel from the US to Canada in my rental RV?

This depends on the company. Several suppliers will allow you to travel to Canada in your rental vehicle, including Apollo, El Monte, Jucy, Campervan North America, Travellers Autobarn and Cruise America.

Can I rent an RV in the US if I’m under 21?

Most suppliers in the US require the main driver to be 21 years of age or older. A full driving license is required.
