Frequently asked questions

Is free camping allowed?

It depends on the destination. Some countries, such as Norway, New Zealand, the UK and the US, have relatively welcoming free camping policies. In others, such as Australia and Canada, free camping is generally not allowed except for designated places. Check our country and location pages for more details on rules in specific areas and for campground and campsite recommendations.

How can Camper Champ help me get a cheaper RV rental?

The Camper Champ comparison tool allows you to compare prices from multiple RV and campervan rental brands at once. Promotional offers and deals are also included. With our lowest price guarantee, you can compare, book and save with ease.

Is RV rental with unlimited mileage available?

This depends on the destination and vehicle. For standard 2WD campers in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, unlimited miles are usually included in the rental price. For RV rentals in the USA or Canada, mileage is usually capped. Additional mileage can generally be purchased in packages.

What if something goes wrong — who helps me?

Your rental agreement is with the supplier (they provide the vehicle and roadside support), and we help you navigate booking questions and next steps so you're not left guessing.
