Electric Forest Statistics: Attendance, Tickets and Dates

Standard 2026 General Admission packages, which bundle passes with a campsite or hotel room, cost from $700 for one tent camper to $3,400 for four people sharing a powered RV site, fees included⁴. Packages in the GA Enhanced campgrounds, such as Lucky Lake, cost more: a Lucky Lake Pre-Set RV for four was $6,150. Prices for 2027 have not been announced.

Electric Forest is held at the Double JJ Resort, 5900 S Water Rd, Rothbury, Michigan, about 20 miles north of Muskegon and roughly a three-hour drive from both Detroit and Chicago¹⁶.

• From Detroit: take I-96 west to Muskegon, then US-31 north to Exit 136 (Winston Road/Rothbury)¹⁶.
• From Chicago: take I-94 east to Benton Harbor, then US-31 north to the same exit¹⁶.
• From Exit 136, turn right onto Winston Road, then left onto Water Road after half a mile¹⁶.
• Expect heavier-than-usual traffic around Rothbury and along US-31 on festival weekend¹³.
• Vehicles without a parking or camping pass are not allowed on site, so carpool, buy a Shuttle Pass or book a hotel package, which in 2026 came with a daily shuttle⁴.

Electric Forest contributes to Rothbury through municipal payments, ticket-based surcharges, permit fees, and visitor activity tied to the festival weekend.

• As of September 2024, the village had received nearly $1.8 million from Electric Forest, not counting the 2024 festival. Village officials say the money has lowered the tax millage rate and paid for street, sidewalk and community center improvements¹⁸.
• In 2018, when the festival ran over two weekends, the village received nearly $387,000¹⁸.
• The festival's 2019 permit set a surcharge of $6.50 per ticket, rising to $7.50 by its tenth year¹⁹. The surcharge was $7.45 per ticket in 2024 and $7.50 in 2025, rising 1% a year after that¹⁸.
• In 2024, Rothbury extended the festival permit through 2035 and increased the permitted capacity from 50,000 to 70,000 attendees⁵.

Electric Forest’s community programs have donated more than 405,000 meals to Conscious Alliance since 2011¹⁴ and helped more than 11,408 voters over the past decade.²⁰

• Electric Forest’s HeadCount partnership has helped more than 11,408 voters over the past decade through voter registration, registration checks, local election alerts and related actions.²⁰ In 2024, festivalgoers took a record 4,494 actions with HeadCount.
• The Electric Forest Michigan CAMP Project funds local community, arts, music and preservation projects²⁰. In 2025, the Electric Forest Charitable Fund awarded $20,000 in Oceana County grants, including $10,000 for its Music in Schools program and $8,000 for art and nature projects such as a mural in Hesperia and beach restoration in Pentwater Township²¹.
• In 2024, festivalgoers donated more than 3,840 meals to the Roy Price Memorial Food Drive, which benefits the Price Family Food Bank in Rothbury²⁰.
