Área de autocaravanas is the Spanish term for a designated motorhome parking area. These areas typically provide water supply, waste disposal facilities and charge a nightly fee of approximately €10 to €20.
Much of the land in Spain is privately owned and permission must be granted if you wish to spend the night there.
Spain has designated areas for RVs where you can spend a night without cost.
In addition, there are plenty of campsites starting at around €9 ($9 USD) per night.
All drivers must have a current and full driver’s license to rent a vehicle. For foreign licenses, an IDP (International Drivers Permit) is also required.
Note: policies vary from supplier to supplier. Always check the T&Cs for your rental.
